Brickell City Ballet was created for dedicated young dancers who are ready to carry their training beyond the classroom and discover what it means to perform with discipline, confidence, generosity, and purpose.

Through advanced conservatory training, professional coaching, meaningful performance opportunities, and original choreography, dancers develop not only stronger technique, but a deeper artistic identity.

Performance is where preparation becomes possibility.

Where Young Artists Take the Stage

Brickell City Ballet gives students the opportunity to rehearse and perform classical, neoclassical, contemporary, and original repertory throughout Miami.

Every rehearsal becomes part of the dancer’s education. Students learn to listen, collaborate, accept responsibility, adapt with confidence, and understand that excellence is built through consistent work long before the curtain rises.

We believe young dancers should experience the excitement of performance without losing the care, patience, and healthy progression that allow artistry to grow honestly.

Our Purpose

Our goal is not simply to place children onstage. It is to help them become artists.

Through training and performance, dancers learn to express themselves, discover their individuality, build resilience, and understand what it means to contribute to something larger than themselves.

Some students may dream of professional careers, international summer intensives, collegiate dance programs, or advanced conservatory training. Others may simply wish to reach their highest personal potential.

Whatever their future holds, every dancer deserves to be prepared with knowledge, courage, discipline, and care.

Training

Company members continue their education through the American Ballet Theatre® National Training Curriculum while expanding their technical, artistic, and performance abilities.

Training may include:

• Classical ballet technique
• Pre-pointe and pointe
• Men’s technique
• Partnering and pas de deux
• Classical variations and repertoire
• Contemporary and modern dance
• Musical theatre
• Flamenco
• Improvisation
• Strength and body conditioning
• Dance wellness and anatomy

Each element of the program is designed to develop strength, versatility, musical intelligence, stage presence, and a deeper understanding of the dancer’s own body.

Performance as Education

Performance teaches lessons that cannot be fully learned at the barre: preparation, adaptability, teamwork, responsibility, stage awareness, and the courage to communicate with an audience.

Brickell City Ballet dancers may participate in more than twelve performance opportunities throughout the season, including:

• Fall, winter, and spring productions
• Community performances throughout Miami
• Museum and cultural collaborations
• Art Basel events
• Outreach performances
• Original choreographic projects
• Special events and artistic partnerships

Each performance is approached as part of the curriculum. The true growth happens in the quiet work of rehearsal, where dancers learn to become dependable, expressive, and generous artists.

A Community of Artists

Brickell City Ballet is built upon the belief that young artists grow strongest when they feel both challenged and supported.

Company dancers learn to celebrate one another’s progress, contribute to a shared artistic vision, and understand that the success of a performance depends upon every person in the room.

Additional opportunities may include mentorship, master classes, professional networking, workshops, cultural exchanges, and educational travel.

Who May Join?

Brickell City Ballet is open to dedicated dancers approximately ages 5 to 20 through audition or faculty invitation.

Placement considers technical readiness, age, maturity, attendance, work ethic, artistic curiosity, and the dancer’s ability to contribute positively to a company environment.

Natural ability is only one part of the picture. The dancers who thrive in this program are willing to listen, welcome corrections, work consistently, support their peers, and find meaning in the daily pursuit of improvement.

Weekly Commitment

Younger Company Members, approximately ages 5 to 8
A minimum commitment of approximately five hours per week.

Intermediate and Advanced Company Members
Training may range from approximately twelve to twenty hours per week, depending on age, level, casting, and performance responsibilities.

Individual schedules are determined through placement and may include technique classes, rehearsals, pointe, conditioning, complementary disciplines, and performances.

Tuition & Scholarships

Company Tuition: $600 per month

Scholarship support may be available to qualified dancers through the Brickell City Arts Foundation. Awards are based on financial need, artistic potential, commitment, and available funding.

Our goal is to expand access to exceptional training and meaningful performance opportunities for young artists who are ready to meet the responsibility of the program.
