Primary B: Ages 6 - 8
Primary B represents an important step in a dancer’s classical training. Guided by the American Ballet Theatre® National Training Curriculum, students continue strengthening the essential principles of ballet technique while expanding their knowledge of vocabulary, musicality, alignment, coordination, and classroom discipline.
At this level, dancers begin approaching each exercise with greater precision and purpose. Barre and center work are thoughtfully introduced and developed to encourage correct posture, healthy movement patterns, flexibility, strength, and control. Students also learn to connect individual steps into combinations, helping them understand not only how movements are performed, but how they flow together with music and expression.
As their technical foundation becomes stronger, dancers are encouraged to develop confidence, independence, and personal artistry. Each class challenges students to remain focused, listen carefully, and take pride in the small details that transform movement into classical ballet.
Within a supportive and inspiring environment, students discover that progress is built through patience, consistency, and dedication. They learn that discipline does not limit creativity—it gives young artists the strength and confidence to express themselves more fully.

Tuition and Registration
One Day per Week $160/month

A non-refundable $100 registration fee and $90 uniform fee are due upon enrollment.
Placement
Students are placed in the appropriate level based on their age, previous experience, and faculty recommendation. Our goal is to ensure every dancer begins in a class where they feel confident, challenged, and supported.
No audition is required for The Lower School classes.
Enrollment
Enrollment is limited to maintain small class sizes and provide thoughtful, individualized instruction.
Registration is accepted on a rolling basis as space permits. Once a class reaches capacity, students will be placed on a waitlist and contacted when an opening becomes available.
Dress Code
Students must wear the official Ayala Ballet Conservatory uniform assigned to their level.

What is Primary B ballet?
